March To Do's

How is it March already?! I swear time is speeding up.

I didn't really do so great on my February to do's.

feb goals

As in, I only accomplished one out of four. The shower remains ungrouted. Photography courses remain untouched. Clearly, my blog looks the same as it has since I started it. Major fails. I did do pretty well with focusing on my image though. I got that hair cut, expanded my wardrobe, wore more colour, worked on my makeup and even wore my contacts a few times. I call that progress. February also included a great vacation with some wonderful relax time. I blame that partly for failing so miserably at everything else but it was totally worth it.

For March, I definitely have to make up some ground! Here's a look at my over-ambitious list.

march to dos

1. I am bound and determined to finish that shower. We need to grout it. Seal and paint the ceiling, install the doors and shelf and finish up the plumbing.

2. I have a pretty fun project on the go for my niece's birthday. I will try to share that with you soon. I'm really looking forward to this and know this will for sure happen since her birthday is the end of March.

3. My house is a disaster. Like more than the usual disaster it always is. It needs a thorough cleaning and a major purge and reorganization. I was inspired by Bekah's purging in January. She did 30 bags in 30 days and cleaned out a lot of things she didn't need anymore. I need that. I'm going to attempt something similar- 20 areas in 31 days.

20 in 31

I will tackle all these areas by breaking it into daily tasks. I have a few extra days so hopefully that will help me out. I hope to clean and implement some organization in these areas as I go. At the end of the month, I hope to have a large amount to donate, sell or dispose of and a cleaner, more organized home.

4. Let's just finish this new look already. I have changed my mind on what I want about 10 times. I need to make some decisions already and get to it! I don't want it to drag on any longer... this is getting ridiculous. It's very hard to find time for this and regular blog posts though.

So those are my main goals. It's shaping up to be a very busy month- I hope I'm up for it! I also need to start my photography course this month before it expires. Maybe I need to take up coffee drinking...

What do you guys have going on this month? Any big goals? Any fun plans for the weekend? I hope to grout our shower.

ps- I just started a Twitter account yesterday at the request of a blogger buddy, Melanie. I still have no idea what I'm doing but follow me @CasadeChristine

  1. Can't wait to see the blog redesign! I think we all forget that February is a shorter month... lists should be shortened accordingly, hah. I was hoping we'd be done with the passthrough by now but alas, still has to be trimmed and needs doors.

    1. I can't wait to see the blog redesign either! haha - so over that goal at this point.

I agree- next year, February gets one goal. haha.

Good luck with the pass through! I think you have been making great progress on that- much quicker than the 15 month bathroom reno we have going.

  4. Do you want to know a dirty little secret? I never sealed the grout in our shower.

    Ahhhhh.....

I was just too lazy and anxious to use it. So far, it's held up beautifully but I know I'll regret it eventually. (I use a daily shower spray which seems to help a lot.)

Hope you have a wonderful month of March!

    1. Thanks Kim!

I don't think we'll seal our grout either *gasp!* The tile supplier we used said people rarely do that here. It's another step and expense we probably don't need. We do need to seal in and paint the ceiling though- it's that textured stuff that wipes off if wet so we want to paint it and seal it in so steam doesn't bother it at all.
